Arc

Yesterday was the first day of the Spring Flower Show at the Lincoln Park Conservatory in Chicago so off I went to take some photographs. The only problem was the condensation on my lenses caused by going from the cold outside into the heat and the humidity inside!!

This fence was in the middle of a pond inside the Conservatory.

Pink

While at the nature museum the other day I saw this gorgeous pink spot on one of the butterflies. When enlarged it appears that this butterfly was staring at me!!

Friday Photowalk Tip #1 ~ Patterns and Textures

Although the temperature is 15F the sun is out and shining brightly. I decided to go to the forest preserve and see what I could find. In less than 10 minutes I found what I was looking for. Good thing because I was freezing!!

Patterns

Another dreary day in the Midwest. That being said my photograph is dreary. I would appreciate any input to perk up this photograph.

I liked this shot because there are a number of different patterns visible on the barn.

Cold

What’s left of this sunflower was swaying back and forth in the wind on this freezing cold day.

I cropped this image and added a vignette.

Edible

This apple pancake is from our favorite pancake house and is the best!! Not only is it filled with lots of apples, cinnamon and butter but the top is covered in crispy brown sugar and butter. It is unbelievably delicious but not very healthy!!
