Gone But Not Forgotten…

This display of flags was very moving and is another reminder of how thankful I am to all of the men and women who have fought and are still fighting to keep our country free. There are a total of 1,748 flags — each one in memory of a local man or woman taken as a prisoner of war or missing in action during the Vietnam War. Each flag was tied with a yellow ribbon and has a name on it.

  4. These are fabulous photographs and so moving. A fine tribute indeed.

  5. Very appropriate tribute and well photographed. The numbers you provided are pretty stark – I’d no idea that so many from one area would have been POWs or MIAs. Incredibly sad….

  6. Great photos with so much emotion in them. Thanks for showing
